2027 CPTS Registration NOW OPEN

Computational Pathology Training School  01 - 03 March 2027

Welcome to the 2027 CPTS!

We would like to invite you to join our Computational Pathology Training School, taking place from 01 - 03 March 2027.

The MDTS will be back in 2028!

This year, our Training School invites you to take a more active role in learning. Inspired by Vienna’s tradition of intellectual exchange, the programme brings participants and experts together for engaging discussions, shared perspectives and valuable professional connections. Both schools offer hybrid participation, and we warmly encourage you to join us in Vienna to make the most of the personal exchange and networking opportunities.

As in previous years, pre-recorded lectures introduce the fundamentals computational pathology, providing an accessible starting point for participants with limited biological or technical knowledge. Available before the Training School begins, these lectures allow you to prepare at your own pace and arrive ready to explore recent technological developments, worked examples and in-depth discussions.

Register to join the conversation, meet the experts and gain new perspectives for your work.

The Computational Pathology Training School (CPTS) is aimed at both, Trainee and Consultant Pathologists and non-clinical scientists/computer experts, who may have some experience with digital pathology and platforms, but are looking to deepen their knowledge. Thus, the training school aims at bringing together histopathologists and computational scientists to foster mutual understanding and collaboration. As digital technologies are transforming histopathology diagnosis and research, the training school will outline some of the basic challenges encountered during image analysis and introduce the concepts of stereology and segmentation analysis. In view of the rapid need for integration of image analysis with molecular diagnostics development, we shall explore both the spatial reasoning of imaging and assessment of multiple biomarkers on digital platforms. This year’s programme combines expert lectures with lively dialogue and meaningful exchange. For the first time, you can submit questions in advance to help shape the discussions around the topics that matter most to you.

The CPTS will once again be held as an hybrid event, welcoming participants in Vienna and online. We warmly encourage in-person attendance to connect directly with our expert speakers, fellow participants and sponsors, share expertise and take part in lively scientific discussions. For those joining remotely, virtual participation offers the flexibility to follow the programme and contribute to the exchange from home or the office.
